This 9.0-km out-and-back trail near Coquitlam, British Columbia, is a challenging but rewarding hike, taking about 4 hours and 27 minutes to complete. The steepest elevation gain occurs in the first 3 km, after which the trail levels out toward a serene lake, ideal for swimming in summer. Popular for birding and hiking. The unmarked trailhead is located near 4101 Quarry Road. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed.
